I think you did the right thing. Definitly, I mean what if you couldn't find a ride home and you missed the bus? Then you're fucked for the night AND trashed. And staying over sucks, you always feel the need to help clean up and shit. Plus waking up with a hangover on a couch with 6 other people is never fun. Especially when you don't know where your pants went.

Party starts at 9pm, my friends want to leave at 12:30am because that's when the last bus leaves. None of us have a car for the night (like it is going to be used to get back home after drinking, smoking and other stuff that will probably show up at the party) Not to mention, it's in the next town.
