anyoen played it? i can't figure out what unlocks tier 3 cars... and while i am a great racer.... a porsche or 70 charger is just no damn match for ferrari's and the like.

also if you play it, and have broadband, wanna meet up sometime for a match?

(btw i have my question answered now...) the ONLY problem just happens to be i've gotta do a canyon duel (extremely hard, probably about as hard of a race that is possible) WITH a boss who has a Lamborghini Murcielago

Canyon

Carbon also features races that take place on Canyons. Canyon roads have sharper, more winding tracks when compared to the city. Certain barriers in canyons will also give way if the player's car hits them, leading to them coming off the canyon and losing the race. Crew members cannot be used in Canyon races.

Canyon Sprint: A race from the top of a canyon to the bottom.
Canyon Checkpoint: Same as a checkpoint, but on a canyon.
Canyon Drift: Players drive down the canyon similar to a Canyon Sprint. Points are earned by drifting - the faster you drift, the more points you get. Multipliers are earned by maintaining clean sections. The player with the most points wins.
Canyon Duel: A Canyon Duel consists of two stages. In the first, the player follows an opponent down a canyon road. The closer you follow the opponent, the more points you earn. In the second stage, the opponent follows the player along the same route. The closer the opponent follows, the more points that are lost. To win, the player must finish with more than zero points, lose the opponent for more than 10 seconds or overtake the opponent for more than 10 seconds.

do you know how damn hard it is, to keep up with that in the first part, and stay ahead of it in the 2nd, with only a porsche cayman??? keeping in mind you can fly off the road and have to restart the entire race...

i have NEVER had a more aggervating race in my life on any game... i've had some pretty damn aggervating races.

I haven't played Carbon but I played Underground a lot. And I've played the older games like Hot Pursuit 2 and High Stakes. Fun games but yeah they can get tough at times. Love racing games :rasta:

i'm STILL stuck on this damn race.... and i'm quickly losing my patients... i've pretty much been donig this race non stop since i posted this..

the track is only about 2 mins long.

nice one canyons can be hard. i walked the game pretty easily cus i got the aston martin from my first canyon from the cards you get at the end. that thing tweaked is fast as fuck and handles like a scaletrix. on the canyons i always go for the overtake.

i was having so much trouble becuase in order to keep up with him i had to pretty much never brake... so i often went flying off the side...

2nd part i started with over 200,000 points, i won the race with like 1,500 to go....
