What's the difference between the white seeds and the gray seeds?

Just a curious question about bag seed. Here goes: sometimes when you find bagseed, there are different colors from the same bag... Some may be white-ish or cream colored, and others are gray, brown, or a combination of those colors with tiny black spots. Since it is possible to get a bag with lots of different looking seeds, does this mean that the external appearence of the seed is an indication of the sex of the plant it will germinate in to? If not, then why do you get different looking seeds from the same plant?

You cant tell the sex from the seed.

The lighter coloured seeds are immature, and have a very low chance of germinating. The darker the seed, the more mature and the more chance you've got of a healthy plant.

There's no point even keeping the light seeds.

I've got some light colored seeds, and they've germinated just fine.

Before we get into an argument over light colored seeds viability, let's get it straight that there are TWO types of light seeds! First kind is that they are immature, pale green to white, and have only a slight chance of producing a healthy plant. Second kind is usually very pale gray or tan. These are just lightly pigmented, but mature seeds. They grow just fine! Now, continue the discussion. - Granny:hippy:
