Who says "looks" are the sole reason behind the practice? If I took that approach towards women, keeping it natural as it were, how would it look upon me to label others as fools just because they prefer artificially augmented ears, noses, chins, lips, cheeks,... ?

Which is why I agree with your previous statement of the guy behind the tool being vastly more important in an adult relationship than the tool itself.

I guess I just don't share the view of nature, and by proxy the human anatomy, being absolutely perfect in every way. The way I see it, if our eyes, knees, and backs have design flaws then I don't see why a penis can't.
Nature saw fit to give the majority of us wisdom teeth, yet we remove them to make our lives easier all the time. That's not fashion, that's pragmatism.
