You should get some videos on how to make hash.

I doubt you'll be able to get enough trichomes to make some hash from some bud you have.
You need high volume of weed in order to make hash.

After 'taking' the trichomes to make hash, yeah... you can still smoke that and you're going to get 98.79% as high as before.

Now im not trying to say im right and your wrong, but..... What im about to say is exactly the opposite of what you just said, sorry.

In my experience yes you can make hash from small amounts of bud. Its normally done with large quantities, you can still do it with like and 1/8. Take the buds, and grind them well. Then you take a silk screen and separate the tricks from the plant materials. You should use a 110 micron screen or smaller. If you do it right, or with a tumbler, you should not have any trichs left on the in the plant matter. So smoking this would really not get you that high at all. The powdery stuff you have left is called kief, and its easy to press small amounts of it. All you rally have to do is use some plastic rap and your hands to press it. The heat from your hands and the pressure of you squeezing it between your hands will cause it to stick. I usually fold it a few times and make it into a little flat piece of hash. it will eventually turn black on the out side from oxidation, and stay a goldish blond color in the inside. You can get a kief box, tumbler, or grinder with a good silk screen to collect trichs slowly and then press the accumulated crystals into small pieces of hash.

Now i will agree on the fact that you really need to watch some videos on how to do this right, it will help you a lot!! laterz..

As far as I know you can make hash from any amount of weed. Less weed equals less hash though, and it is a little time consuming. Many people smoke the bud, then make hash out of everything that is not bud.
