    Metal bowls

Ok, so my friend and I are in disagreement about something. Hopefully you guys can help clarify it up.

We all know that smoking aluminum foil is bad for you and can give you Alzheimer's. He says that all metal bowls do the same thing. Now, I'm not sure what type of metal most are made of but I just don't think they would be as widely sold, nor would they be as popular.

If you could get them hot enough they might harm you, but seeing as weed nor a bic lighter burns hot enough it doesn't matter.

i dont think this is the case...because most metal bowls are made of steel not aluminum...notice no headshops carry smoking devices made of aluminum, yet almost everyone you go to has metal bowls, they have a hard enough time keeping these stores up in some states, better yet selling things that could give you a disease such alzheimer's

Not all metal is bad... I know at least steel, stainless steel, and brass are fine, but I think there are a few others that are okay as well. I'm not a huge fan of metal though, personally, except for homemade stuff of course.

Depending on the metal, it may leave a bad taste, but if you have a good bowl, thats not a problem. Also, if you let your bowl resin up at all, then its definitely not a problem anymore.

Any bowls that you buy at a headshop though, are going to be safe. Alot safer then any homemade metal bowls that you might make.

Lol, I have burned myself more times on a glass slide then I have on any of my metal bowls or pipes. The metal tends to cool down alot quicker then the glass does as well.
