I had them several times. My first one hit me back in 2001,I thought I was dying the pain was so intense.I ended up having it for about 2 weeks before the E.R. doc advised me to have surgery to break them up so I could pass them out quicker.I agreed and later that night I was in the hospital having surgery to blast them up.At first I thought it was a good idea. The doc said I'd just be there over night and in a couple days I'd be back to normal and at work. Was he ever wrong,I ended up off work another three weeks.I was still in pain and it took that long for the last pieces to pass.I can still feel the pain I see the blood that I passed those long three weeks.

I've had them since then but not as bad thank God!Doctor told me no pain was more intense and severe for a man to go through.Only a woman in birth can compare to that type of pain.I feel for anybody that has to go through this.My advice is drink plenty of water, take your meds, and rest as much as possible.Lemon juice is also good and even the doctor said a beer is always a good way to flush out the kidneys. So yeah to a certain extent I guess you could say a beer a day keeps the doctor away.Just dont try drinking a beer on top of the pain killers they prescribe for those stones.I did that one night.Popped the top and just took a few sips, shortly after I was knocked out big time.So yeah man just take your meds and keep pushing plenty of water, hopefully it's passed and the worst is over for ya.
