On average, a bowl of solid bud will last me 3-5 hits. However, using the same size bowl and packing it tight with shake will only give me 1-2 hits. Shake burns much faster (obviously), but I feel less of a high. Normally I would think that clearing what is usually 3-5 rips (via solid bud) in 1-2 rips (via shake) out of the same size bowl would get me higher. The bigger the hit, the higher you get, der. So for my question, is the reason I'm feeling less of a high, despite clearing the bowl in only 1-2 rips due to the shake being less dense than solid nugs (which could mean less thc), or is it burning all away?

ive always been told this is because the shake has less thc content than the buds because most of the trichs have fallen off of the shake

I appreciate the response, but I'm pretty sure when they fall of they don't just dissapear. If anything, they fall off into the mix of shake.

they dont disapear...if u have it in a plastic baggy...thats what the hazy dust is that sticks to the bag...trichomes

Oh, well I get all that out, it's included in my shake bowl. So that cannot be it. I guesse the most direct method would be to pack a bow of solid and then a bowl of shake and put each on a scale. However, I'm lazy! Anyone know the answer?

He just gave you the right answer. Shake contains less THC because of it being banged around in transit. The shake also burns faster because it contains less moisture than the dense bud.

Also, burning a bud has more weed than shake does, so smoking buds mean you are smoking more weed.
