I have noticed a disproportionately large amount of banned new users lately. I don't know why though, I haven't seen any threads/posts warranting such. Not that they weren't warranted, I certainly haven't seen every post that goes on, but the rules are definately getting stricter and stricter, free speech seeing (IMO) excessive repression.

i have a feeling the mods are getting alot of pressure on them, causing them to take the forum more hands on, affecting the nature it had

yea i've nothing against mods who are just doing there job but this site seems to be quite commercial now and alot less personal the overall feeling of this site has definitly changed

That sums it up in a nutshell. You DON'T often see why the user was banned; if the comment was bad enough to warrant a ban, it gets deleted.

There is no 'pressure' on us to act a certain way. We respect the rules of the site just like most everyone else here does. We simply have the power to enforce them.

If you are unhappy here, perhaps this community is not the correct fit for you. Canncom is one of many. I choose to come here because I have a lot of respect for the way the site has been, and continues to be, administered, and because I enjoy the community.

Nothing else needs to be said. Take this for what it's worth.

LOL....Well, with the amount of infractions you have and the sig....you "could" probably be looked at. Why bring on the attention?

We don't discuss why people were banned BUT there are alot of under 18 people that get caught after the fact. We just don't see a name and say it's the "kill of the day". There are reasons behind our actions.

ahhhhhh..how i love these threads....

first of all....90 percent of the bans you are seeing are strictly age related...i dont think the new rule is bad at all...we loose a lot of the juvenile posts, posts with juvenile issues, and to be honest, there is a lot less work we have had to do with the new rules in place...i am not saying that all underage users posted juvenile posts, many adult members do as well, but the bulk of it was the minors.....as has been proven with the new rules in place......

as always, and as i am so fond of saying, if you dont like it here, you can always find someplace else to hang out...i am boggled as to why people want to sit somewhere on the net that they dont like and just whine and moan about it....why waste your time, as well as everyone elses?
