In a rather surprise developement today, Russia announced that it would not supply the enriched fuel that Iran needs to operate their new nuclear reactor. Apparently Russia has finally awakened to the fact that a nuclear Iran is not exactly in their best interests either.

... and Russia couldn't really care if Iran got nuked into the stone age - it would only serve to increase the value of their oil reserves.

The Chinese economy would crumble if they didn't have America to sell their products to. So China simply is not a military threat. (Any close look at China would show that their plan for dominance in the world is economic, not military.)

Iran is not breaking any international law. There is no international law against building nukes. There is only an agreement that countries will get cheap uranium if they don't build nukes. But taking part of this agreement is voluntary.

Don't let the media trick you into believing they are doing anything illegal.

IMO, Iran is building the nukes out of self defense. They are just so tired of having to listen to the US's crap and being the US's bitch. They want the bomb so they can say. "Get the fuck out of here!!!"

I have never seen George Bush say that some religious prophet will show up and wipe out a country that he hates because of its religion and culture. He simply said...Hell, Iraq is dangerous, and I'm gonna go in there and eliminate that danger"..not promised some religious figure would come do it for him. Possibly not the best analogy but it gets the point across.
You see, the US has a very apparent religious right, but unlike Islam, it does not follow the notion that you need to kill...maybe in mass amounts, to secure you..and preach that religion is the basis for such treatment. Their religion is like a way of life. To ALL of them! Here in the West, there is more of a separation of church and state. We are slowly evolving away from that.

You can still argue Bush has quite a religious emphasis, but it doesn't compare to the Iranian President's. Iran has an ayatolla...I don't think the US has an equivalent to that...correct me if wrong?
