What to do, what to do.

oh the attack of the hermies! Well I have yet to experience a grow without hermies....sigh. But the worst of the story is yet to come!! This is my third grow and first grow with supposedly named strains.

One day two weeks into flowering, I walk into the room and one plant had a stalk that completely turned MALE! Ripped that fucker right out of there, knowing that it was probably tooooooo late. I have noticed that these buds are progressing much slower and crummier than the previous bagseed I had grown before, strange huh? Perhaps because they are pollinated, or maybe I got too lax in thier care?

Fast forward to last friday, I noitce the HERMIE smell.... From my only Black Domina, mind you. So she's gotta stay.
Today I find some broken sacs and yes, seeds. I am four weeks flowering so I know that I am going to have one SEEDED crop. Sigh, BIG SIGH. So not only did she get laid by a blueberry, but she was so darn horny that she had to give herself some action too....not to mention probably pollinating my other good blueberrys.
I know I asked for these problems when I grew them too long!

This means I am going to lose the black domina strain. I do have a clone, but it isn't doing so hot, and I am afraid to put my clones in the room for fear of them being pollinated too. Total cleanout is not possible til after Sunday....BOO!

So I for one am going to go back to growing these babies as FAST as I can instead of large, heavy, and beautiful. So again to share with everyone, FIM is really not all that great, and SOG or SCROG is definitley something to look into if you get hermies like me.

Ohhhhh whoa, I've the seed blues......(lonely harmonica plays in background)....and not a smokable bud in the house, lol.

Thanks for letting me vent and I'd like to hear any advice that I haven't thought of, or other sad stories like mine. As they say, misery likes company.

noope....my camera took a piss and that is why i haven't updated my log.

I can tell you it looks a little gangly, but bigger than the other plants I've grown.

I can tell it has sativa in it as well.

If I get another cam or fix this one, I'll post. I refuse to take a pic with a cell and post.

i wrote this on someone elses question about hermies...next time if you can catch it you can do what I did and so far the plant is looking the best cause I caught the sacs early enough

Well this is what I did with my one hermie plant (remember if you leave one hermie plant with a bunch of females they will all turn hermies its just how it works)

I was growing 7 plants at the time and I wasnt gonna risk turning them all hermies so I removed it and put it on my back porch. Took a set of tweezers and literally plucked all the balls off (you also wanna keep in mind that you dont want any of those balls to break cause it will just pollenate that plant) We left it out back pretty much re-vegging and keeping an eye on it just in case more balls grew in but thankfully nothing came back and once my other plants were done we threw it back in the closet for flowering and now from the looks of it that plant is gonna have the largest main cola out of all my plants in total.

    Cliffs: its surgery time

Yeah, cell phone pics just leave you wanting. Good luck with her.....that's a strain on my "to try" list (expensive....).

Girl, use the reverse. I'm about to take and post some pics of a blueberry I just grew and it's the most stressed out, weirdest looking plant you could imagine. But it did NOT hermie.....

This is good advice from the both of you. Unfortunately, I already have seeds, although underdeveloped, at four weeks of flower. MAJOR seeds on some of the buds. And I found open pollen sacs on the domina (the plant that grew a bunch of balls was a blueberry...). I did remove the unbroken balls.

I plucked off a small but seriously seeded bud and smoked it last night. I was not disappointed for the plant only been flowering for four weeks. The seeds were so soft yet, I could smoke them. They did POP in the bowl though. Good smoke, I just won't tip the scale like I had been dreaming about.

They had already been in serious preflower before I switched the lights. I was asking for hermies growing them too long, I believe......? Isn't that possible?
    Didn't I read that somewhere?

So I should pull the seeds off......I just decided to remove the heavily seeded buds. When I broke that one up, it was ALL seeds, lol. I'm going to try your method on the less seedy area (which I am hoping there will be).
And of course I'll eat the smooshy seeds, waste not want not.
Well that has to be it though, I must have a higher temp in there than I thought. Bugger. HA HA I'll never run a good grow during the summer again. Never ever. ever. Ever. lol. Thanks faithlessxxx, those are neat and helpful findings.
