I have a Canon PowerShot A620. It's 7.1 megapixel, 3x optical zoom, 4x soft zoom. Takes very nice pics, very happy with it. I believe they have an updated model out now, probably with higher resolution. Canon makes damn fine cameras, highly recommended. This is a point-and-shoot, no interchangeable lenses, nothing fancy, but the picture quality is dynamite, and these Canon PowerShots are reasonably priced. Does good macros too, so you can take pics of your trichs (hey that rhymes!).
