how to make sticky weed

i know that the best weed i have ever smoked was really sticky
how can i get this effect with my buds?
is it a water thing or fert thing?
i want it really sticky n also how do i make my buds hard instead of soft?
any thoughts?

Last grow, I flowered my White Widows a little over 10 weeks and they were very sticky. I would bring some to my bro in aluminum foil and we would have to peel it off. It was by far the stickiest weed I ever smoked and it was home grown.

so should i harvest when full amber ?

This depends on your preference. Do you like to be mental stoned or body stoned. If you harvest earlier (mostly clear/few milky) you'll have a more speedy head high. If you harvest on-time you'll get it when its mostly milky trichomes. This is the best balance of bodyhead highs and is also the longest lasting. If you wait another week, the plant will keep putting on weight but the high will degrade into a more lethargic/couchlock stone(50%+ amber). IMO you should try to get them when the most trichomes are milky. You'll need a microscope to see the little glands.
You can effect the high by when you harvest but it mainly depends on genetics... If you grow a pure sativa it can't be a couchlock stone just like a pure indica won't be a speeedy, trippy high. But you can make a sativa slightly more relaxing by giving it an extra week.

Hard, compact, dense nugs... try a kush and pretty much any other indica strain.
You want sticky icky buds? Like a lot have said here, it's strain dependent, but most strains will have at least some stickyness, especially right after harvesting. After it is dried and cured well it tends to lose a bit of the stickyness, although it does not lose its potency .

And by the way, 420check420, resin heads breaking isn't exactly a good thing. It's better to try your best to keep them intact.

ahhhhh i want it. i need to get some widow seeds for the past 3 years ive been growing jamaican tigerstripe. got it from jamaica and loved it lol

umm i just got a new female plant about 1month into flowering i just wanna know if theres any like tricks of the trade to get sticky buds

The amount of resin(stickiness) the plant makes is based ultimately on genetics and your ability to unlock the plant's full potential. You want sticky hard buds? Look for genetics that have potent hard buds.
