The pursuit
Well, in speaking from former experience, over-eagerness can be a little off-putting. So can anything that borders on stalking or being followed, clinged onto, or adored too closely. The gradual, low-key approach always worked better with me.
When I was in my dating years, the Internet didn't yet exist. So phone calls and visits, flowers and cards were the usual ways in which someone got my attention initially. Also just being funny and nice when we were together.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"
