I've read a lot of grow guides, and none of them have covered this. Most I have read talk about putting the starting seedlings in vermiculite, but I don't have vermiculite. I have rockwool cubes. What I am asking is, "Will this work?" If not, is there ANY way to start seedlings in rock wool cubes? And if I can't put them straight into the system, do I just water them normally as if it were soil?

I hate how when you ask questions here, people always assume you haven't read anything. I have read plenty of guides, but I have situational questions that grow guides just don't cover in the same way that asking people that have experience does. Sorry to be a pain.

If I were to grow cannabis, I would only do so to supply myself and my close friends. Doing this would take myself and my friends out of harms way by knowing the source of our cannabis, as well as take hundreds of thousands of dollars off the black market annually. It would also lower the demand of black market cannabis, and would ultimately help keep cannabis out of the hands of minors.[/SIZE]

yes u start the seedling in the rock wool cube u should first soak the cubes in ph'd water around 5.5ph sum boil them too but soak for 30min or so and then put ur seedling in to the lil hole and water when needed. when u are finished soakin the cubes u give each cube a lil shake as u don't want it drippin wet but damp take that and weigh it or kindda feel how heavy it is and u can tell when it needs to be watered again i don't like rocwool as iv'e noticed it drys out quick so u need to keep an eye on it i was watering mine 2 times a day and if u don't have them in a dome like i said b4 they will dry out alot quickier as the heat from the light will dry them out but if u pick them up and it's real lite u know it needs to be watered just make sure they stay damp.

p.s i felt the same way about askin ? as alot of the people on this site seem to have a ph in arrogance.it's kindda like u know when u meet sumone that acts as if there shit don't stink ."to be blunt" it's kindda like that, and i read everything on here and alot of other places for 2 weeks b4 i asked any ?,

but just like in books that teach, it's like they assume u know everything there talking about, and kindda skip steps in a way. for example i was reading a book on how to forge ur own knifes 1 time, so im readin and it gets to the part where it tells about how to shape the steel and all it said was ok first u need to anneal the steel to make it soft for shaping and then it just went on to the next steps well never working with steel b4 i did'nt know what annealing was so u see things like that are missed when people that write books or on subjects they seem to assume u know what everything is and means.sorry that was along p/s lmao

So if you ask a question and get an answer you don't understand, just ask again. Sooner or later you'll get a straightforward answer like hoghuntr76 gave you. Most people that are taking the time to type an answer to your question aren't doing so to make your life miserable. They are mostly trying to help. You'll catch on to all the terminology and techniques sooner or later. In the mean time, you should try to have at least as much patience with those who are trying to help you, as they are having with you.

Quite the contrary. I think your answer was right to the point and told him what he needed to know in terms he could understand.

...I'm pretty sure that's what "straightforward" means.

No one answered my question directly like hoghuntr did, and I appreciate everyone taking the time to answer me. Responses like "bongerstonerd00d" gave is what I was talking about as far as the rude posts.
