    16 clone grow log....

I think you should just for the simple fact I've always wanted to do it myself and never have. I'll be following this log so keep the great pics coming.

    Thank you. I will.

The clones are coming along nicely. The roots are starting to get close to each other so hopefully they don't start touching before day 14. If they do I will have no choice to transplant early. I tested the drip system today to make sure each site will be watered. Good to go. With 15 gallons in the panda rez, the water level is about 3/4 to the top. The roots will only grow about four inches before they reach.

Why are you waiting till day 14 to transplant? Stability?

Pete - trimming the leaves is done for two main reasons:

To reduce weight - a bigger leaf holds more water and hence weighs more, which can cause the plant to bend over when it's weak.

To make the plant smaller so that the leaves of your clones aren't touching and sticking together and rotting.

So the reasons are more mechanical, for lack of a better word, than having to do with the root growth.

Scientixt - I noticed you didn't clean all the loose plastic from the underside of the holes you drilled. You might want to take some sandpaper and de-burr your holes. Otherwise, many of those little pieces of plastic will get into your solution and could eventually damage or clog your pump.

Now about the clones. Man look at those roots. Day 7. One more week of rooting and I will transplant to the 16 site drip / dwc panda res. I just cut the holes today. I can't help but wonder how many different ways I could have cut the holes. I guess the way they are now is ok.

My plan is to transplant these over to 12/12 in one week. Does anyone think I should or shouldn't?

Dude thats fucking pure awesomeness! I've never cloned before only grown from seed because of how difficult some people make cloning seem. You can bet your ass that im gonna build one of these and give it a try! Keep up the good work bro, im definately gonna watch this one.

    Thank you.

Summer temps are still kicking my ass though. I just lost three clones to a minor mold prob. Decided to go ahead and transplant out of the with mold res and into the drip / dwc system. The clones are small but the roots fill the 3" net pots. I kept three for moms to take clones from in about a month or so. Right now because of the heat I won't be using both lamps but once september is over, so is the wait.
