i was watchin staruday morning kids tv with my mom and sister when the trailer for the magic roundabout movie came on..i sat there and asked my mom if she thought the magic roundabout was blatantly drug specific..she disagreed with me, and so i tried to explain about all the reasons why i thought it was mainly about drugs..she still didnt beleave me..so i found this webpage...and it basically converted her!
heres a list of each charecter, what drugs they are on and y i think this!

Mr. Rusty
Mr. Rusty is widley regarded as the cause of all the problems in the Magic Garden. He was the owner of the Magic Roundabout and a drug dealer buy less legal trade. Dougal told Mr. Rusty at one point that his 'trip' on the roundabout was a 'wonderfull feeling'. Ahh, customer satisfaction.

Florence
Florence was often seen as many years befor her time. She had really big, eighties hair and, as all the episodes start with her talking to Mr. Rusty, she is probably on all the drugs that were available from her dealer. In my opinion, she seems suspiciously attracted to Dougal.

Dougal
This sugar-cube fixated dog is clearly on cocaine and is therefore always anxious. Think about it, sugar cubes? He also eats the mushrooms of the garden. Dougal is always cynical, and has many daydreams (read trips), and ideas.

Dylan
This guitar-playing rabbit was the pothead of the garden. He was always spaced out and even more often tired. Dylan rules.

Brian
Brian is a snail, and is often seen as the clear thinker of the Garden.

Zebidee
Er, speed? It's pretty obvious here as well. Zebidee is constanltly hyperactive and for God's sake the dude has springs for feet! Zebidee is supposed to be the magic of the garden and can turn into stuff... far out man.

Ermintrude
This pink cow shows that the show's creator must have been on some type of serious trip. I mean, who the hell writes a series for TV with a pink cow in it!?! It really does explain today's generation of adicts and dealers. The cow itself is on Magic Muschrooms (represented by the flowers she perpetually chews), and indeed does encourage others in the garden to partake in this natural delight. This cow (no offence) can turn her head through 360 degrees, which of course is totally normal behaviour for any cow.

there are many other instances in which the drug conatations are further highlighted...one example would be there are even mushrooms in the garden which one character calls 'magic'.
other more trippy stuff happerns too. In one episode, the members of the garden are talking to floating pastry.

damm thas alot to read...neways i hope this was interesting...and not as pointless as i think it is reading it all back!

dont know if you realised this while you were thinking about it but the makers of the original magic roundabout were on LSD while they wrote the script so.....yes is the answer.

I have never heard about it either Helter Skelter and there is a girl on the boards with a dog from it she put on her post?? I was like wtf is magic roundabout??
