trimming off yellow leaves

I am in flowering and will probably harvest in the next few weeks. I have many leaves that have turned completely yellow because of the end of life of the plant. Can I trim these leaves off that are blocking my HPS light from getting to the bottom nugs?

i do,when they`re yellow and dieing they can no longer do their job, so i think it makes sense to let the light thru,i dont pull too many off in one go though,it might stress them too much.i have always done this with no ill effects.hope this helps,peace RM.
