is it ok to switch from 12/12 night to day cycle??

i have my lights on 12/12 where the lights are on during the day and off at not from 8 to 8 well it's gettin real hot outside and i want to switch to 12 to 12 being lights are on from 12 at nite to 12 noon and off from 12 noon to 12 nite im in the 2nd week of flower is this ok to do?

I've done it before, two different ways. I left them in dark for 24 hours once, and that worked okay. The other time, I moved the time forward an hour out of each 12. In other words, I went to 11/11 until it cycled around to the times I wanted for 12/12, then went back to 12/12. That worked too, and is probably less stressful on the plants.
