With this 18 rule in, which i don't remember getting to vote for, a lot of people are missing out on this great site because of a rule which quite frankly is arbitrary.

Why do you think that we get to vote on things around here? It is a privately owned website and the owner doesn't charge people to be members. It is his sandlot so it is his rules.

For those that would like to talk about other drugs, I have been a member for over a year now and when I started, talk of other illegal drugs was not permitted. Then recently talk of all substances not cannabis, whether legal or not, was banned. There are a few exceptions to this rule in the medical forums but it sounds like people are imagining talk of other things that was never permitted or at least not in the last year. I am a member of another cannabis forum and I can tell you that several marijuana forums were shut down by the government and a lot of these allowed talk of other drugs. You might not like it but one reason for this rule has to be it's protecting the website from getting shut down. So do you want the website to be shut down by the government so you have no where to talk about cannabis or be happy that we have what we got?

Yeah, it was like a year and two months ago that they took away the other psychotropics board. I am not saying I agree or disagree, though I do understand the motive.

I get to have mine. The kids are going to use if they want to, whether I say one word to them or not. What IS child abuse is the way uninformed parents sending kids to rehab or jail for experimentation with a relatively harmless herb!

I encourage kids not to grow at home, not to deal, and to educate their parents about the medical uses of cannabis and the fact that it is not the government's "Weed From Hell!". I try to keep them out of trouble and help them out of it when things get bad. One of my favorite URL posts to the kids (when they were "legally" here) stresses that moderation is essential in the young adult user. I've told people (age unknown) to quit or at least take a break. I post study tips and try to give good advice based on experience. I try to speak the truth to all, no matter what age they are.

So dude, if you got a problem with that, sorry, but I don't!

I don't think we get to vote, i think we should've been able to, regardless of private ownership. I don't know if charging people for cafe memberships were this owners idea or not. This should be the people's forum just as much as the CEO or whoever. Democracy is stressed every day in our lives yet we have no chance to use it for such a drastic rule change that more then one person disagrees with. There is no age limit for cannabis, since it's illegal, therefore, in my opinion the age restriction seems moot. People will lie anyway. I abide by the owners rules, otherwise i'd be banned, however i can freely express my opinion if i feel so.

I don't care so much about talking about other drugs, this is cannabis.com, i prefer to talk about cannabis. Do i think it was better when we could freely talk about other drugs aswell as cannabis? Yes. Have certain freedoms been tamed on this site since i first joined? Yes. I know other sites have been shut down, OG, probably being the most well known, not that i was a member of it but i remember hearing about it. I think we all want this site to remain for a long as possible. It was around without these new rules and wasn't closed is my point. I already said i'm happy with what we've got, could it be improved? Perhaps. What can't. If it were to be closed i could still talk about cannabis with friends, just in person rather then the net. If the 18 rule had been here 3 years ago i wouldn't be here rite now. I compare these young kids with who i was at that time and i know i wouldn't want to be banned for no reason but age. I found if a young adult uses agaisnt the advice of american culture than most likely the individual has a little bit of a rebellious nature and most likely will have to learn the hard way.

You can say how harmless this plant is until your blue in the face in a jail cell though.
