Oneironaut Reviewed by Oneironaut on . Photo editing Hey all! I have an ongoing contest kind of thing. Take an image on your computer, and using a photo editing software, like Photoshop, paintshop pro, or Gimp to enhance it, edit it, make it weird, whatever! I'll begin. Rating: 5

That one above needs some text blurbs.

'My son, your Father told me to give you this when you reached manhood.'

    'Praise the lord!'

    The last one is good.
Here's a different caption "Jesus, they have ran out of wine for the party."
"Get me some water... I have a better idea.

Alright, just a photo I found on flickr. I added selective colorization and some gaussian blur. Photo credit goes to Iles.

Okay, question guys....where do I download one of these programs? Or are they already on my computer? I don't want to download anything that'll mess my comp up. Can anyone help, please??

    Thanks in advance

GIMP is a totally free (AS IN FREEDOM) program that can be found on GIMP - The GNU Image Manipulation Program.
It is basically an open source version of photoshop and can handle most plugins that photoshop uses.

Yeah but Photoshop is really where it's at, you can get it off a torrent site.

The first one is where I got my avatar from, I didn't make it though I got it somewhere off the internet (can't remember where) it's a vector of some random dude hitting a ROOR and I just added in the green smoke, and the second one is just random but I thought it was pretty funny.

I think GIMP blows photoshop away. It is free and open source. If you need a function, add it. And since it can support so many photoshop and community made plugins it can be easily expanded.
    Support open source.

Well yeah, I mean it's cool that it IS basically Photoshop and all, but I just like the interface for PS better and it's all in one, plus there's so many tutorials and other things. It basically comes down to preference though.

I would, but I'm in no mood to upload all of my work. Or even a few pieces for that matter.
