ah its purple

i was walking through my plants before setting off to school this morning and i noticed my cali big bud, leaf stems were purple, not the whole leaf, just the stems, and it seems to have entered flowering maybe two weeks ago.

i was thinking maybe cold weather? its my first outdoor grow, but the weather really hasn't been cold, so i have no idea.

oh yeah im using some blooming stuff like once every 3 or 4 waterings. and they are in the sun for most of the day.
any info greatly appreciated...:hippy:

no i snipped a leaf off of all of my plants today and im gonna frame them in my toking room.

the weard thing is i have two cali big bud plants and only 1 of them has that bit of purple on its stems

is the main stem showing any purple on it? hope that snippin of the leaves didn't shock your plant a little, last year i think i pulled to many off mine for the same purpse of urs bro :rastasmoke: and thats maybe why it was a hermie :wtf: but if it was just one from each plant they should be fine

oh and the stalk is not purple at all

I think purple veins means that your plant is cold just something I heard in the nirvana forum

should i trim shade leaves off of the indica bush? a buddy said i should and i said maybe lemme ask someone else first.
so any opinions?

i thought it may be that, but it hasnt really been cold though.

not so much 'cold', as it indicates a wide temperature swing ... red stems also can indicate a phosphorous deficiency, not a big deal, really ... :smokin:

umm reaper, do you think it would be ok to give her a lil more bloomer? its like 5- 30-5 or something close.
