I think you misunderstood what I said. I did not say that more people would smoke it often. However, I said more people would be open to the idea of at least trying it. So indeed, I think you misunderstood my post, and you might want to re-read it to understand what I said my friend.

There is, in fact, a real-world example of what I said could happen. In Holland, when it became tolerated to use it (though not legal, technically), the use of cannabis went up a little bit for a small period of time. However, after that time it leveled back to normal. So no, I was not trying to say that suddenly a bunch of otherwise non-toking people would start tokin' it up. Rather, I said the otherwise non-toking people would be more open to try it. Being that it would be legal, it would definitely not be as demonized and looked down upon (though, an example of the opposite would be cigarette usage, but that's because everyone knows that there are harmful chemical additives), and more acceptable in general, like alcohol is. Therefore, more people would be open to at least trying it.

i agree, its been this way for so long it might really throw things out of whack by changing it.
