    diffuser/ashcatcher differences

Recently I decided to get new goodies for my Roor, and opted for a diffuser and ashcatcher from EDIT.

Most ppl say that both of these together would serve to cool the smoke, and generally make it smoother. I find this to be the case, and in fact, it actually makes the bong much quieter, also. The 'blurbing' sound is greatly reduced as a result of having these extra parts on there. I know that some people like the noise a bong makes, but if you're trying to be discreet, this would be a good "muffler" to add to your piece!

What I am wondering is if anyone has noticed that having the diffuser and/or ashcatcher affects the high, or not? For me, it *seems* to allow your lungs to take more smoke, thus you would get "higher", but is there any common consensus on this?

Anyway, for anyone why has not yet added at least a diffuser to their bong, you'll find that is definitely makes quite a difference, esp. with super cold ICE water... It's heaven!

it seems you're right...doesnt a diffuser make more bubbles allowing more smoke into the chamber?

Yes, a diffuser results in more bubbles, which in turn translates to more surface contact with the water, thus allows for more smoke into the chamber.

There is certainly no question that the diffuser makes the hit "smoother" per-se, but I was wondering in it makes the high any better, or the same. After all, my reasoning is that the greater the volume of smoke into your lungs, the higher you're probably gonna get, right??

the diffusor evenly distibutes smoke throughout the entire surface area of the water inside the bong and as for getting higher i think the bigger the rips you take the more fucked up you get.
