Why was my thread deleted?

I started a thread about soda can pipes today...got ~15 replies...it no longer exists.
I didn't mean to break any rules, just wondering why it's gone.

Because smoking with a soda can, or any piece of tin foil/aluminum/whatever for that matter, is an unhealthy alternative to actual glass pieces.

We don't want that kind of mis-information here on the boards. If people read that, they'll get the wrong idea about using those to smoke out of. Bottom line: it's not smart to use.

Yep, it was prompting other replies and suggestions that provided potentially more harmful information, Elemental, and we kept receiving it through our report-posts system as a problem. So I took the thread itself down. Be aware that when threads come down, sometimes it's not always a matter of the initial thread content being a problem as much as it is the continuing replies. When that begins to happen, we will take an entire thread down to eliminate the problem.
