actually the ram is the same while the 360 has one 512mb ram unit that the processing unit AND the graphics processing unit share the ps3 has one 256mb ram unit for the processing unit and another 256mb ram unit specifically for the graphics processing unit if you do ur math that adds up to 512mb and it gives the develepors more flexibility with the ps3 the xbox is more straightforward hence a lot easier to make games for while the ps3 with its crazy ass cell processor makes it much more difficult/time consuming to program for but its potential is undeniable higher then the 360's, how much higher? not to sure since the 360 can definitely pump out real good graphics, AI, etc. it all comes down to how well the game developers can take advantage of the technology that both systems offer
