XBox360 vs PS3

o i never even looked at the link, i read the rest of what u said and assumed it was a ps3 hard drive. But that still costs more than an xbox 360

yes it does cost more, but when you factor in no one really needs a harddrive bigger then 20 gig (more then enough to keep your save files on and all your demo's and videos) and it doesn't cost money to play online with PS, it pretty much evens out... 450 for the system and everything straight outta the box you need to get online....

the price is no longer really a factor in the next gen fued. and yes i know it took them long enough to lower the price i still think the 600 price tag is too steep (but atleast with the 600 one now you get motorstorm and an (which is a decent game if you like racing) 80 gig harddrive)

80 gigs is just too much, why would u really need that much memory on a game system, i have a 30 gig mp3 player that can hold all of the media on my computer (about 300 songs, every episode of scrubs, weeds, and the boondocks, and 2 movies) with room to spare

360 is better, imo, because of price and games. I think more people have 360's then Ps3's. Price, price, price. Microsoft certainly made a fine console.

Well to be fair to the PS3. When I bought my PS2 HDD (with Final Fantasy XI) FFXI took nearly HALF of the HDD up with the base program and patches.

With more and more content in gaming being "download content" and with games needing more and more space because of HD quality video feed we are going to need more than just 20gigs for sure. Hell standard in an average store bought PC now is 80gigs...

xbox360 > PS3 in games
xbox360 = PS3 in graphics. IMO what makes a good game isn't the graphics, but everything else they put into it. The only reason you need graphics is for you to try a game in the first place.
xbox360 > PS3 for game development. GTAIV is running late because the devs can't figure out the PS3!!!! Stupid Sony!!!!!! Now all of us get screwed cuz of the PS3 when the xbox360 version is ready.

Bluray? Well you can buy a 360+HD-DVD player for less than a PS3.
IMO this format war is the stupidest thing ever. All the companies saw it coming from the beginning. Couldn't they just make an agreement before they invested a lot? The companies deserve it cuz all of them are so stuck up in their asses, but it's not the companies but the consumers that get pwned.

Some details on how much people want the different consoles.
Wii gets sold out at Best Buy the day of delivery still. Crazy.
Xbox360 STILL GETS SOLD OUT ocasionally. How long has it been out? Over two years?
PS3? Each store has like 100+ in stock cuz noone wants it. GG.

I wouldn't buy a pc today with under 500 gigs lol.

PCs > consoles period btw. At least for those who can handle it. The only reason the consoles are doing so good now is that the parent companies are pushing and pushing the games, marketing, etc.

In 1-2 years the average gaming PC will have better graphics than the xbox360 or PS3. Plus there is a much better PC community for the games. There is a lot of modding, more clans. Games last longer on PC. Think of CS and Battlefield and all the MMORPGs. Console games tend to be games you will play for max 2-3 months. Good PC games are timeless.

only games i realy play on console are online games, and i can tell you, the only reason they may last only 3 months, is for the simple fact that i find a new adn better game i'd rather devote my time to.

btw, 420, i was saying that you don't really need to go out and spend 600 for the 80 gig, you don't really need that much space, i've got pretty much all the demos and still haven't even taken up like 10 gigs... and if you think you do well you can always go out and buy a new bigger harddrive for like 100 bucks and have like 150 gigs...
