XBox360 vs PS3

Okay this debate has come up in a ton of a topics everywhere, so lets just discuss it here.

IMO currently XBox360 is better than the PS3 because of price, game selection, and the graphics are pretty much the same. But in a year or two I think the PS3 will outshine the XBox360. It's obvious that the PS3 has better hardware but the developers aren't currently taking advantage of it. In a year or two there will be many more games for PS3 and I think the graphics will be better than those of the Xbox360.

the 360 has a graphics system that makes it easier for game designers to make games faster and more easily. The ps3 has a slightly better graphics but the graphics system makes it harder to make games. Plus the ps3 is extremely overpriced.

I think they're going to be equally popular, while PS3 may have slightly better graphics in the end, nothing can replace Xbox Live.

It's been shown in the specs time and again that the PS3 is not anywhere near as powerful as they claimed and in fact in many ways the 360 is superior. The only thing that gives PS3 a one up is that it can play Blu Ray movies. That's it.

360 also supports a better game library and that isn't only because of it's year head start, since the PS3 has been released it has seen scores of better titles while the titles PS3 has been relying on keep coming up being not so good.

In fact the only bad thing about the 360 WAS the high failure rate, but now all future 360s will not have that issue and older machines are now protected under and extended free repair warranty for the problem.

You add to that the large price difference and the answer is simple...

360 is superior hands down.

Actually its only been shown that the 360 has more RAM than the ps3, meaning that some games require you to save some data onto the harddrive to reduce load times. The graphics cards that the consoles use are basically the same, but the more powerful cpu means that the games can process more information. Also, the 1080p output, backwards compatability, changeable harddrives, free network use, the six axis, and blu rays being able to hold more, makes the ps3 better imo. That being said, xbox live is awesome, and a lot of the games coming out are cheap ports of the 360 version. I like both consoles, as they have advantages and disadvantages, but im a ps3 man. Oh and btw, yes i am a fanboy

actually the ram is the same while the 360 has one 512mb ram unit that the processing unit AND the graphics processing unit share the ps3 has one 256mb ram unit for the processing unit and another 256mb ram unit specifically for the graphics processing unit if you do ur math that adds up to 512mb and it gives the develepors more flexibility with the ps3 the xbox is more straightforward hence a lot easier to make games for while the ps3 with its crazy ass cell processor makes it much more difficult/time consuming to program for but its potential is undeniable higher then the 360's, how much higher? not to sure since the 360 can definitely pump out real good graphics, AI, etc. it all comes down to how well the game developers can take advantage of the technology that both systems offer

just get a new harddrive if you think you'll ever fill up 20 gigs... which unless you just store all your music on your ps3, you would probably have to get a bigger harddrive...

it's completely interchangable, and easy access, doesn't void your warranty if you trade out the harddrives.
