I would leave them, but cut away the bucket and transplant into a bigger container. First cut the bottom out of the bucket that the plants are in, then set the bucket in the rubbermaid and cut the bucket down each side (2 cuts) and then fill the rubbermaid with soil, now remove the two sides of the bucket, and then water and add more soil if needed. Let them recover for a week and flower them. Before you do this don't water the plants for 3-4 days, as it will make the soil hold together better for the transplant. I am posting a pic I made in paint that shows how it should end up, the dotted line is where the bucket used to be. This will give your plants the root space they need. You should get at least 10 Gal container for this.

PS. don't forget to drill a few drain-holes in the rubbermaid container.
