    Plant Problems: Diagnosis Please...

OK, I'm about to start a couple of grows after receiving pathetic results from my first flood and drain attempt. It wasn't that bad actually, 6 Oz is not much to write home about though the quality was very very good.

To todays task. As mentioned I'm about to commence 8 soil grown plants and a few NFT grown plants.

I've chosen to experiment with Weed on the NFT hydro. And I'm hoping 10 decent Big Bud clones arrive in the next 10 days for the soil room.

The weed plants look like they could be suffering.

    The history.

I bought some weed a couple of months ago. I kept the seeds, then shortly after passed them to someone else. This someone else, let's call her Jane, germinated these seeds and stuck them in some kind of suitable cube. As far as I'm aware they haven't been fed at all by Jane. They are well rooted but definitely lacking in nutrients.

I have acquired these unpotted plants from Jane but I'm having problems deciding what to do about the bellow situation. Check the pix and leave suggestions please...

Those are the same things you'll find on a tomato plant. Just a sign of ALOT of moisture. They shouldnt be of any problem to ya!
Im far from a pro, but thats what I see. Someone else may come along with more.

Do you know what they are? Like a name?

So when I stick em on my hydro NFT system they will be ok? Or should I put them in soil and bury those bits under the soil?

    Cheers!

I forget the name but all they are is roots trying to form due to moisture. Like I said b4, Im no pro, but DONT try to bury them! That would in fact root them and have a more than likely undesireable effect on your plant. Im really not sure about the hydro setup.
One thing you can do is keep a fan on them to keep em dry....gotta fly

Big Thanks Chronisseur for your time... I wondered if that might have been the case, but with so many other paranoid thoughts I couldn't figure out what was really happening.. If any one else has a different opinion or knows the full name of this condition so i can read up on it I'd appreciate it...

    advantitious roots

they are caused from the nutrients bieng splashed or sprayed on the stem

no worries at all, if they are going in soil you can infact bury them, more roots is a healthier stronger plant

yhanks for your support peeps, it is much appreciated.. They will, hopefully, be put on the NFT system tomorrow with a mild feed to try and bring the colour vack to the leaves...

Just another question. What is the difference between weed and skunk?
Like when i buy weed it comes compressed in a block with wigs & seeds that have to be picked out... and we are all familiar with buddy skunk strains... So what is the difference? I'm hoping to grow weed plants but have no idea what they should end up like. Can any one share the differences between weed and skunk?
