How many days does it take a winner seed to germinate? How long does it take a weak plant to germinate? What is the overall average days it takes a seed to germinate when planted directly in the soil? Is there even a difference in plants that take less days to germinate?

well, if the soil hasn't been too damp, you should see something any time now ... keeping the soil too wet, promotes Pythium Wilt (damp-off) ... it's a fungus that kills seeds and seedlings ... I have had SOME seedlings burn in that soil, it's great fro larger plants, but can be a bit too 'hot' for sensitive seedlings ... I use the Fox Farm Happy Frog soil to start, then transplant into Ocean Forest, getting better results ... also, pre-soaking the seeds overnight in a warm environment (80 degrees is good) gives it a head start ... if you put the seed into the soil 'dry' it's fine, will just extend it a couple days ... :smokin:

How fast it breaks dirt doesn't have much to do with whether you want to keep the mom. Grow out all your females and choose the one you really like in terms of hardiness, structure, and bud flavor/effect.
Old seeds can take longer to germ, as can seeds from lines with very tough husks.

I think this is an exception to the rule though. For whatever reason, the way it was set up must be favorable to young plants. I wouldn't recommend trying this with "good" seeds. It was tested first using bagseed, with spectacular results, and only then used for the good stuff.(−)-(6aR,10aR)-6,6,9-trimethyl-3-pentyl-6a,7,8,10a-tetrahydro-6H-benzo[c]chromen-1-ol
