    Alarming poll

My "After-School Program" is planning to get library cards for our students. The library is only a short walk from the school. It will be a weekly or biweekly event. We are trying! - Granny:hippy:
Storm Crow Reviewed by Storm Crow on . Alarming poll Does anyone else find the results of this poll as upsetting as I do? One in four read no books last year - Yahoo! News I was horrified to read this story earlier today. I normally read one to two books a week, at least when I'm not actively engaged in school. During the school year, I easily read the equivalent of one or two books per week in medical texts and other written information. How much do you read? Restore my faith in intelligence and literacy. Please. Rating: 5

    Alarming poll

When I was younger, I read a lot, all the time. I tried to read as much as I could about what makes life worth living.
Then in my early teens I had an epiphany.
Now I try to live a life worth reading about.

i used to read a lot, then stopped reading during my high school years, but i've picked up reading again since... currently reading, World War Z by Max Brooks, it's a pretty sweet book told as an oral history about a zombie world takeover, told as if it were non-fiction and like ti already happened, it's pretty well written... also a huge Palahniuk fan, and I also read a lot of old thinker type sci-fi like orwell, huxley, etc..

[align=center] I got my own little personal library. Everytime someone doesn't want a book I am like "I WANT IT!" I frequent yard sales and libraries that sell their old books. And if I don't have a book on handy...I go to wikipedia and read articles about stuff I am interested in...movies, comic characters,music,bands...
    Reading is where it's at...
