Paranoid friends/Not paranoid enough friends

Okay, so here we go...

I have a grand total of 5 friends who I toke with, and usually I smoke with them all seperately. As much as I enjoy their company when we're smoking, I can't help but notice there's a problem with 3/5 of them. I can't decide if I'm being too harsh, or should just stop dealing with them (as far as smoking goes)...

Now, before I get into what's wrong with each of them, people reading this have to keep in mind...None of us have a car/house where we can just sit and blaze... We always end up walking around and either smoking jays, or sitting in back of a store or something and speed-smoking...(Good for getting stoned, but not much of a fun social experience)

One friend, I'll call her "Andrea", ALWAYS thinks there are cops...Like, any white car that goes by, this is what I have to hear: "DUDE, THATS A COP. LETS GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE". And while I appreciate that when it is a cop, half the time they're just white cars, and we get up and have to walk miles to find a new spot. Not to mention, she thinks that every other car that drives by and looks at us (Even if it's just because we're camped out behind the bedroom source) is an undercover cop. Then she gets mad when I'm not as worried about it as she is. Not to mention, she asks for weed ALL THE TIME. Like, not just smoking (I've hung out with her every day for two months, and I ALWAYS bring the weed)... She'll actually look at my bag and be like, "Hey, wanna give me a few buds for tonight?". We work at the same store, same hours, make the same money, and the only difference between us (financially) is that she puts all of her money into the bank while I spend a part of my paycheck on bud. I don't mind smoking her out, since usually I get my hookup from her anyway, and I enjoy her company and otherwise I'd be smoking alone 90% of the time, which isn't half as fun as smoking it up with friends is, IMO. I just don't appreciate her pinching from my bag...And I believe that she's done it before, WITHOUT my permission. (I left my weed with her one night because I was afraid my rents were looking through my stuff, and I have a feeling it was just a little lighter when I got it back).

A second friend, I'll call him "Kevin", is exactly the opposite. One time we were sitting behind a store and he's hitting the pipe. I saw a security car (They patrol behind the chain of stores we were at, and call the cops whenever they see someone doing something suspicious back there...Most are retired cops) come by. I go "Security, put that shit down" (calmly)...He's still hitting it, guard's rolling closer..."Dude, there's security, put the fuckin pipe down"...Kid nods, keeps hitting it. Security rolls past, he's still hitting the pipe. Security looks RIGHT at us and we see him get on his car phone. We know he's calling the cops, so I'm like, "Let's get the hell out." and Kevin actually has the balls to look at me and go "Naw, it's alright, he probably wishes he was smoking right now." I had two pipes (That Kevin asked me to bring), and mega weed on me. Kevin had absolutely NOTHING on him. He didn't care if I got caught, he just wanted to keep smoking MY weed that I was letting him smoke for free, whether a cop came or not.

Third friend: "Melissa". Nothing wrong with her on actual outings, she's always careful as far as cops and stuff go, but she's sort of grubby... Like, me, her, and Kevin were hanging out one day, and her and Kevin were talking about some girl they knew...And she flat out said, "Hey, can we hang out with her and smoke her weed?"... And the only time she EVER wants to hang out is when I'm smoking her out. She never brings weed, she refuses to throw down. One day I told her before we even smoked "Yo, this is the last of my weed, I have no more money to buy more, you mind throwing down?" and she looked at me like I had five heads. She acted all sorry and said she had no money, and I could understand that cuz sometimes you just don't have the money to spend...But later that SAME night we went to Applebees for dessert, and she spend almost 40 bucks between her and Kevin. No money my ass... It's not the only time it's happened, either.


Do you think I'm being too harsh on my friends? I admit I might be a little harsh on Melissa, but what about the other two? =/ Should I stop smoking with them? I really don't need friends who're gonna get me busted/steal from me... How can I resolve these issues I have with my friends without just cutting them out of my toking-life?

I'm guessing you'll get all kinds of responses, but I suggest try to find other smoking buddies. Or just lay down the law. Tell the friends being scrubs to throwdown every once in a while or something. I know in my case, I hate when someone takes advantage of my generous spirit and starts using me. So it's possibly that someone's doing that to you. By the way, how old are you?

yeah man i know a few people who had the same situations goin for them..

you just gotta stand up for how you wanna be running something. if dudes hittin the pipe with security rollin up, you snatch that thing before he can even light it. have that other friend study the headlights of ford crown victorias for cryin out loud! thats a major buzzkill.

but no matter which friend, wherever you are, who your with....

ALWAYS stick to your guns with your weed when you have scavengers around. dont let em get used to always lookin to you to get them high.

The first one just has anxiety, and is fine in my book. I think the second one just could give a fuck less about cops, or he knows cops won't be there that soon. Third, fuck her. Replace her.

Well, we all have those friends. There's the friend who freaks out if he thinks some random dude is looking at him from a house window a mile away which ends up being some shadow of a lamp or something at the window.

Then theres the friend or friends (normally you need majority when choosing a smoking spot) who just don't understand about being discreet. I've had friends who have wanted to light up in a parking lot where a security guard was patrolling. It wasn't "oh, maybe he will see us", it was "when he comes back around he will see us and kick us off the property". Anyhow, in that situation they still wouldn't leave and 1/2 way through rolling the blunt the security guy rolls up and tells us we can't hang out back there, we had to scrap the whole thing into a brown paper bag.

Then theres a friend who wants to leave parties early because he's afraid of cops and wont admit it. He goes around telling everyone who you're supposte to leave with that one of the people want to leave and he/she will try and get everyone out the door while they're having a good time.

Then theres the friend who is randomly paranoid for no reason. You will be walking on the street 4 am in a quiet neighborhood drunk (don't ask lol, old story) and taking a piss on some house and he/she will flat out bolt from you, not wanting to incriminate themselves at 4 AM.

Last, but not least, there are the addicts who seem to annoy everyone about every .1 or .2 grams they throw down. Seriously, I've had a maxed out 4 person blunt going and I've heard some of the lamest excuses to hit the blunt. I love sharing with my friends and all, but sometimes you gotta bring your own weed. People have used the excuse on me "but I smoke you up all the time" and it just makes me laugh. I rarely if ever don't bring weed with me when I go smoke with friends. I smoke friends down no problem, and they understand if I want to smoke a blunt to the face or if I want to share with everybody. Normally we have 3-4 people throw down for a blunt and it works out but those kids are always sitting next to you like "yo, lemme get this next" with their hands streached out and crap. Sorry... this one may be a bit of a personal issue, lol.

Another situation I don't like with the "addicts" is when people throw down money to purchase a larger amount of buddha for less money. Instead of everyone getting a dub sack, we get a quarter ounce. When this happens I make it as clear as I can that I want my whole portion and then I will decide what I use for the night. Constantly the "addict" kids get on my back for this and call me cheap and retarded. They will just give me less than half of what I paid for and claim that "that is enough to get you high later tonight at home" which is not what I said. When I ask for the rest, they insult me by handing me little leaves.... again, this may be more of a personal thing lol. They take the rest of MY weed which I've paid for and proportion it into blunts. Sometimes I don't stay late enough to get in on 1 or 2 of them. This doesn't happen anymore because I've learned after many times that people don't change. I just get my own quantity before everyone meets up or another day.

Anyway, everyone has annoying friends. I still like my friends for who they are, even if they do have annoying smoking habits...

I'm a good toker friend. I've got friends that never bring, but they rarely smoke, so IMO its all cool. But most of my toker friends are just as willing to toke me up when they have bud as I am when I do so ites fairly even.
