storing weed for a long period of time

i'm heading off to college next week, and i'm not going to be bringing my stash with me. my friend/dealer left a while ago, so i got enough from him to last me until i had to leave. well, it's safe to say i'll have plenty enough to last me. can weed be safely stored for a couple months? i won't be back home until thanksgiving. can i just throw it in my safe? will it lose any potency? any help on this subject is appreciated...

also, i'm going to be bringing a big trunk with a combo lock on it. it will be big enough to store my bong. any tips on transporting/packaging a bong? i probably won't bring it anyways just to be safe, but i'm not positive yet.

ive heard you can keep it in the produce drawer of a fridge for quite a while and it'll stay fresh and doesnt lose potency... but that's just what i heard i have no evidence for that

might be a dumb question but why don't you take it with you and keep smoking it over the next little while? From my experience, floor dons never do random room checks unless you've been carelessly blazing away in your dorm and it stinks up the hall or w/e

if refrigeration isnt an option, can you freeze it? freezing always worked well for me. also, you can just put in an foodsaver bag or stick it in a ziplick bag, suck out the air gently with a vacuum on a low setting then zip it up, fold it up and tape it shut.

The 3 common things that degrades bud is air, light and heat. That being said it's easy to keep your bud as potent as it was the day you bought it by simply storing it in any air-tight container, preferably a glass jar.

You can put orange peels in there but that will only last for so long. Really the best option would be to take it with you, I am sure you can get more weed at your college, probably just as good if not better shit.

Put it into Air tight glass jars and store it in a cool dark place. In a few months when you go back home it will be 20x better then it was before
