Advice appreciated.
I'm new to this so please don't laugh. I've been smoking for about 6 months but I've never really paid much attention to what I'm smoking. I just pick up and don't bother about how good the draw is. But now I'm starting to become more fussy and have been getting draws that I don't think I much to celebrate. So I wonder if any of you are willing to give me advice, it sounds like a stupid question but here goes...
How can you tell if a draw is decent before you actually smoke it?
Thanks to anyone that can give me advice without laughing at how naive I sound :]Dynamite Reviewed by Dynamite on . Advice appreciated. I'm new to this so please don't laugh. I am pretty good at rolling, but when i started(this summer) i would sometimes try to blow into the draw with my finger over the other end. You can kinda feel the air flow. But what I usually did is just took a non-lit hit and if you get a really dank mouthful of air, chances are its circulating too. If thats too bugged, you can allways roll them looser, loose cannon blunts are awesome sometimes, but make sure you have a water haha

Think I may use different terminology over here. When I said a 'draw' I didn't mean a joint/spliff I meant the actually cannabis before I roll it, when I buy it how do I know if what I've bought is good quality?

Hey Dynamite, first things first in seeing if what you are buying is anygood.
Look at it, if it looks nice it probably is, if it looks harsh, it probably is. Thats the first and easiest one.
Look for POINTLESS stalks and seeds, if there are lots not attached to any bud, its really low quality.
Soon you will be telling the difference between nice bud and bad bud in looks.
The smell is also another factor, if it fucking stinks the place out then its a good thing.
Over all though, the proof is in the pudding. Toke it up, if it was shit don't go back to that guy who sold it to you, or ask him if he has the same stuff next time, so you know what you're getting, or not getting.
Last thing, watch out for wet/damp weed. If it wet, its not good enough. You lose money buy buying wet/damp weed because once it drys you lost all the weight of the moisture.
NEVER GUY GRIT WEED. If its grit (chew some), do not pay for it at all costs.
Good luck, happy toking.

You can tell green from the smell, the colour ( dont buy any dark green shit ), and ofcourse the crystals. Hash is a little more difficult, but i generally do it by texture, and how the cut side looks.

hairs, crystals and smell are a good place to start....of course some time apperances can be decieving and you might get some beasters type shit. If you're buying for the first time with a new dealer, I'd suggest buying a sample size... something like a gram. Some dealers dont really like dealing in amounts that small but see what you can do. If you smoke it and its not as good as it looks then find a new dealer
