There is a correlation between weed and violence. More weed = less violence! - Granny:hippy:

There's not much argument from me that *after* getting some weed people are usually quite passive, but I've seen evidence on these very forums in the past week that suggest that getting ripped off even a small amount is a good enough reason to become violent, which could easily be seen as being directly attributable to marijuana use.

Crackheads don't get especially angry or aggressive when on crack, in my experience. But when you cut off the supply for a few days.. things can get ugly. They get angry.

Many years ago, I had a neighbor that sold shitty little bags of weed. It was just what you got, if you were dumb enough to buy from him. He was also paranoid shitzophrenic, and owned many guns. One Saturday night, a couple of guys bought some unknown amount from him, and of course got shorted. They came back early Sunday morning with masks and shotguns and knocked on his door.

Well, he had a peephole and a mac 10. He must have seen dudes with masks and freaked, he opened up the door and opened both of them up with bullets, and I didn't get to leave my apartment that day without getting interviewed by the police homicide unit, and trying not to incriminate myself. He really killed the hell out of 'em too - never attack an armed shitzophrenic, people.

So technically, this all came about because of weed. Bad people all around, guns, and weed. Which one gets the credit when you're waging a war on drugs?

Really im bipolar and schizo, It doesnt have a damn thing to do with weed. Its not the weed that makes people go off the deep end. Its the person themselves.

I find myself and (most of) my friends are less violent and generally more happy and peaceful when baked. As in when I would have normally gotten pissed at someone, I'm just like "whatever.."

I've seen many people act like violent fools when drunk but in all my years of smoking have never ever seen anyone smoke marijuana and get violent.
I do still love to drink too though :yippee:

I'm not saying the weed is what made these people violent, but since weed was involved, it could easily be used statistically to point to violence being associated with marijuana use. It would have to be, actually, becuase the whole thing was over a "bad drug deal" and the drug was marijuana.

I presume the two fellows that were killed did get some weed. Some wet, cut-to-soon and still underweight bags, that probably didn't get them very high at all. They went back with shotguns.

My argument isn't that weed makes you violent, but that bad people that smoke weed make weed a convenient scapegoat for thier fuckedupeddness.

Some kid up here killed and raped (don't remeber what order) his stepmother, and stuffed her in a freezer. Later told the cops he was "so high he didn't know what he was doing". Total bullshit of course. I think in the end it came out that he didn't have many cannabinoids in his system at the time of arrest.

But when used as a bit of statistical data, it can hugely skew the hundred stoners smoking a joint and watching "Jeopardy".

I guess my point is simple: really bad people smoke pot too.

Yeah same.. Its more like, I can't be stuffed getting angry with them haha, there's no point. Why waste a relaxing time being pissed at someone? If someone does something that would usually piss me off I'm just like this

I think if it got raged when seriously blazed (never happened?), I'd still probably end up getting some food before I did any beating. Then by the time I've finished my food, eh, what fight?
