BCgirl beat me to it, that is all I use, "Hi, my name is 'FBR,' what's yours?" Works great. Every once in a while if I'm not sure that she is alone I might say "Will your boyfriend mind if I talk to you?" and the answer is usually "No, I don't have a boyfriend," but that can be a lie sometimes when you run into cheaters!

To be honest, I've gone through quite a bit of experimentation on this myself. I've found that just trying to strike conversation about something and going with it is a good way to meet people. I've even used a line where I went up to a girl I wanted to talk to and asked her if she went to my same high school, because she looked really familiar. She'll say no, but somehow you can sneak a conversation in there. Good shit.

i cant say that you dont have any girls, but i can say that you have very few if you are resorting to the internet my friend. Your proactive? thats great dude!

to answer question 3: maybe if you see that other people agree with other peoples posts then that just solidifies the point, showing it works for more then the person who originally brought it up.
