im a veggietarian its great
good for the earth (the meat industry is the #1 polluter) the animals, you (as long as you make sure to get the right nutrition) and last but not least your karma

i've always thought that giving up meat doesn't actually save any animal lives, right? Because when you get meat at a store or restaurant, it's already processed and ready to buy. In other words, not buying it, even if it means you consume, say, 100 less pounds of chicken a year, just means a little more gets thrown out when it goes bad. i'm not disputing that it's worse for you than a vegetarian diet, but a healthy diet can have meat
