    1 pot, about 50 plants...will this work?

A friend showed me his plants and they were all in one pot. They all looked healthy , but he's had them for almost two months and they still have only four or five nodes each with only three leaves. I don't know if this is normal for their age but I know they're not supposed to be grown all together. Is this a case of stunted growth? What will happen if he continues growing them tegether like this?

If he's had them for this long and thats all the bigger they are, then you are seeing the textbook example of why NOT to grow more than one plant per pot. Their roots are all tangled up and pretty much choking each other out.

hey... just because this guy went overboard, doesn't mean growing several plants in a big pot is a bad idea. From everything I've seen, the people that have done it right have actually done very well, sometimes rivaling hydro for yield. It allows the plants' root systems to spread out more and overlap, plus the tangle of roots is quite beneficial for holding in and using water. Considering this is how cannabis grows in the wild, it's probably not a bad thing for your plants.

Of course, with that many plants in one pot, they'll end up fighting for space and most will end up stunted or dead before any of them get big.

Multiple plants in a big POT? No.
A purpose-designed tub or tray? That's the only way to do it.
And it is meant to be done with female clones.

yes they will grow, and die... just like any plant...

IF (that's a big MF'n if) it made one gram of smoke, would i smoke it?

    ...

only if i was on a deserted island, or in any other insane; in jail, end of world, weed extinction, sci fi scenario.

    other wise, no

I'm sure there is a limit to how many you can have before it starts affecting size/yield/health.

Isn't that pretty much what I said?

Well, that's what I meant. I guess it depends on your definition of "pot".

During my outdoor bagseed grows, I'd plant 4 seeds in one large pot, then kill all but the healthiest female once I determined sex. Of course then, I had all the seeds I could ever use. One of my friends was a hardcore stoner and he kept me well-supplied.
