    more newb questions

hey i have a couple questions, how tall should i make a grow "room" im growing in my attic so i have to build something else inside the attic so i would like to know how tall should i make it? also i have alot of reptiles so i was curious, i have a uv light laying around, could that be used, then have another flouresent lamp for heating? (i only plan on growin 1-5 plants) i was thinking a 200 W bulb for heating and the uv to act like sunlight. would that work? any help would be great.

The more vertical space the better.... Less than 3 feet can become a serious challenge.... 5 feet + is a comfortable amount of room.

If your gonna grow, you should get an HPS light.

Attics can get real real hot .. can you manage the heat?

    good luck

i have a very tight budget how much would a complete hps light setup cost (not somethign too huge, just for a couple plants) my plans are i wont be growin in my attic during the summer, just late fall-mid spring when i cant grow outside, but it would be nice to grow indoors year-round, so how could i control the temp? thanks for your help

ok so will this be suffecient? i have a uvb light and a 150W flouresent light that is ment for heating for reptiles and growing plants in the same enclosure. and i am going to use a pc fan to vent. now if i just run the air out into the attic with no filter or anything would it smell inside the house too? and if i ran it outside without a carbon filter or anything, would u be able to tell i was growing?( the place that i could run it outside is on the front of the house on the 3rd floor, so if someoen walked out could they smell it?) thanks again

what's tight? You can get an hps on the web for 100$ ..

then your biggest cost will be electricity... Roughly $40 a month for a 600-1000watt hps.. depends where you live...

Think of it as an investment : )

no one can really answer the smell question because it varies from strain to strain. U might as well worry about smell later on. U have a good month or two to worrya bout it.
