When you gargle with a salt water rinse it is much higher than that and normally not even normal flora can survive that just because they have been living in 0.9% salt content.
Interesting... well I don't know why salt water seems to work better than alcohol-based mouthwash then, any ideas? I just remember hearing that your body's bacteria handles the salt better than the alcohol, but the nasties can't handle it at all.
