    my other grandpa died

about when i posted the thread talking about how to deal with the loss of a loved one..... the reason why i posted that, was that day, my grandpa on my dads side, had a stroke, and i knew it wasnt going to be good.... but the reason why i was asking how to deal with the loss of a loved one, is because despite loosing 2 people close to me, i was basicaly drunk or high the entire time.... and i dont want to go back to using anything right now...

Yeah, sometimes when there's a difficult situation in your life it may be best to keep your mind clean and clear. Intoxicants can delay the processing of your emotions and any lifestyle changes that ensue, actually making it harder to cope, but causing you to think you're ok. On the other hand, if there's just something that keeps haunting you and you can't figure out how to let it go, some deep relaxation and meditation with the herb could show you a way to help yourself. I would go without for a while, then if there's anything left hanging for too long seek help getting "out of your own head" so to speak. But i'm no psychologist, so use salt liberally on my advice.

How do you deal with grief? You cry, you cuss, you go kind of crazy for a while. You feel hollow or like ashes inside. But eventually, it fades. It never really goes away. I still mourn my Mother. It's been more than 20 years. But life goes on and we survive. New people come into your life and you go on.

It's kind of funny- my Mom was abusive, bipolar and a real bitch at times, but I mourn her loss more than I mourned my Dad's! I was always "my Father's daughter" -I look like him, act like him, loved him dearly, but it was Mom's suicide that really hit me hard. I "fell into a bottle" for several years. But like I said- we survive it all! Hang in there. It will eventually get better. - Granny

Bro, Im so sorry. I hope you feel better. He wouldn't want you to be depressed about it, he would want you to live life and be happy. I feel so sorry for you. I n I want you to continue to live your life well. Remember, when you have problems in life, think of the squirrel putting nuts away for the winter. It looks insurmountable, but as he puts the nuts in every day, by the first frost he has enough to supply him throughout the winter. Or as Bob Marley sang it, "If you're the big, big tree, we're the small axe."
