    The Seed question

I see the seed popped out of the soil and I see the root beneath it. Is it bad since the shell didn't come off?

Here is a picture . Ill post a real picture probably like in the afternoon, need to get the camera from my sister.

the shells frequently stick on for awhile ... it is best to let it naturally drop off, if at all possible ... sometimes, you may need to pry it off with a couple toothpicks, but it is VERY easy to damage or kill the seedling ... I try to squirt it off, with a mister, it's much gentler that way ... :smokin:

Yeah, I recommend you let the plant throw off the shell on its own; I was trying to 'help' a young one a few weeks ago, accidentally tore off one of the two little initial leaves (cotyledons or whatever), and that plant is waaaay behind the others that didn't have me brutalize them. I guess it's like tearing off an infant's leg or something. I feel guilty!
