laughter is a gift from God.
walk this earth to search and find.
and if you find the truth dont hide.
for this may be your last day to try.

I laugh with those who are laughing at my beliefs, because if something I have done has been able to bring them joy enough that they feel the need to laugh, then I have helped them in some way.

I fully accept that others may not see things the way I do, and I embrace that fact. I try to understand it, and I try to reach things with understanding, and not judgement.

If you put me infront of someone who had killed, I would try to understand why they did so. I wouldnt judge them for what they did, but I would not cry out against their punishment for killing another, as there are rules in our society that one must follow, or be punished, irregardless of if you agree with them. I think each and every one of us is a testament to that, or at least I would think so. I understand that my smoking pot is illegal, and if caught, I will be punished for breaking the law, no matter how much I may not agree with it.

If you can not laugh with others about that which makes you you, then I think you may want to re-evaluate that which is in your life. Time here, in this life, is limited, so why not try to enjoy as much as possible.

I believe in some things that would garner things much worse then laughter if said to others, but I would not fault them for doing such things, as they simply do not understand where I am coming from. Nor do I understand where they are coming from, so I can not expect them to see things the same as I, nor can they expect me to see things the same as them. So when they act, I try to understand, not judge, and perhaps I can see why they acted as such towards that which I believe in.

laughing at your beliefs is a good thing to be able to do. many beliefs are rediculous, or extreme. i'm vegetarian, but my friends laugh at me and tell me to eat meat, and i laugh with them, because i know how strainge the idea of vegetarianism was before i was vegetarian. i think the original post is awesome.

lol giraffes. we dont laugh because we are happy, we are happy because we laugh. i personally take the piss out of everything. even my own beliefs cus sometimes they seem dumb, when i make up retarded contex. happiness is the essence of life no one shoulf be without.

i sometimes think and im not having ago at anyone that has posted, that religous people often miss the point of life.

    thats my 2 cents anyway

As someone unconvinced of the existance of gods and the supernatural, I often poke holes in those beliefs. The believers can become offended that I don't take them seriously, but I often remind them that simply saying "Jesus loves you" implies that there is in fact one true god and that my atheist beliefs are wrong.

It goes both ways, but religious beliefs have been the majority for so long in our society that people forget that it is a 2-way street.
