Choosing a Ballast

So I am getting ready to start building my first cabinet and I have been looking at Digital Ballast that can recognize either HPS or MH lights. Just wanted to get the communities opinions on digital ballast and maybe what brands to go with.

I have been using a Lumatek 400 watt digital ballast for a couple of years, and have nothing but good to say about it. They have five-year warranties, which is the best I've seen for any digital ballast. They also now have 120v versions all the way up to 1,000 watters.

I just have the old-school magnetic ballast, but it will be replaced someday with a digital ... the digitals supposedly use less electricity while delivering more lumens ... my friends are very happy with theirs ... :smokin:

I keep going back and forth on the magnetic vs. electronic. I keep reading horror stories about RFI and failures that I've about decided to get a top-of-the-line magnetic and be done with it. Maybe by the time it needs replacing, the electronic models will be more refined.
