Unfortunately it was a feature of the Cafe Membership thingy that the former owner of Cann.com started.. If you paid for the upgrade you got a few cool features like a private forum, bigger avatars, yadda, yadda... Basically it was an incentive for people to donate to this most awesome site, which some of us were happy to do! I'm not sure if any type of membership feature will be introduced now, maybe the current admin are working on it? Who knows? [Queue music from the X-Files]
