Honestly, have you ever been 'in love'?
yes i have been in love. its everything its cracked up to be and then some.
for me there are three different kinds of love
A. Friend love. friend love is the kind of love that i would get in my car in the middle of the night and drive till morning if they asked me to. friend love is like a river, a river is consistent in that it is always flowing, as is friend love.
B. Family love. family love runs deeper, family love is never being able to say no, no matter what. family love is like the ocean, from the surface everyone's love for their family looks relatively similar, but once you break the surface, who knows what you might find.
C. romantic love. romantic love is a combination of both friend and family love mixed into one creating something amazing that can't be described, only experienced. romantic love is like the rain...its always somewhere.

H4H, those are the best analogies I have ever heard in my life in an attempt to (usually poorly) describe love. Kudos to you.

The ancient greeks actually had a seperate word for each one of these concepts. The only one I can remember is Agape, the brotherly love that you have for your close friends.

Oddly enough, there is another female I am in love with. She is the most intelligent, charismatic, enchantingly beautiful, entertainingly funny, sweet, lust-inspiring female I know. We used to work together, and would have AWESOME conversations while doing mind-numbing food industry prep work lol. Her boyfriend was in jail most of the time I knew her but Im not the dude that takes a mans woman like that. Plus I had a girlfriend at first, but she was the one who helped me get over her when I found out she was cheating. Shes the girl that would call me up out of nowhere asking "hey... ya wanna smoke?!?" Ironically she will never know how I feel and we will never be together, but its ok. As long as shes happy.

Some say "time heals all wounds." Others say "time wounds all heals." Love is a bittersweet tragedy, is it not??

two of my past relationships...yes, the feeling was very genuine and still is...of course I know things would never work out between us, but indeed...it's not too hard to find enough things about a person that makes you absolutely cherish them..

I have experienced "love" 3 times.... I'm on the third and it's more than the last 2.I never thought it would happen again. Love is all about acceptance, forgiveness, honesty, openess, sharing of self, seflessness, kindness, caring, the ability to look past faults and deficiencies. That's not all I'm sure but that is a quick summary of what love is for me.....

Because even though I get a lot of satisfaction out of being good to others it can take its toll! I know from your other posts that you too have had your sahre of rough relationships. What is this?! Why the nicer you are the more attracted to the assholes I swear?!

I'm 32 and can honestly say I've only truly been in love 1 time. And that was from 1993 -1995 in college. And I still love Whitney and always will. Forever :lovestruck: :s2:
