Honestly, have you ever been 'in love'?
This might have already been made, if so, please forgive me.
--------
If you have or have not been in love, share with me...if you want.
I haven't. I thought I was but when you really think about it, real love is supposed so much stronger.
For those that have, how do you know? What's love to you? What's the difference between the love for your partner and lets say, your family?Spoken Word Reviewed by Spoken Word on . I'm still too young, I can't stand it when I'm dating a guy, and he says the L Word within a week of getting together. For me, it takes like a month to say it, that is, I love the person, but I am not IN love.

Honestly, have you ever been 'in love'?
Yes actually. Recently. And in a bittersweet turn of events, I still am.
There's a former member here- The Yeag- who I dated for a number of months recently, while both of us were going through some pretty amazing personal transformations. Our communication was wonderful and supportive and genuine. He really helped me find some inner strength I didn't know I had, and says I did the same for him.
The small amount of time we were able to spend together was truly amazing- a level of sexual compatibility I'd never found up to that point- oddly, while we were together, I missed our phone conversations.
As a result of the personal growth he was working on, he moved back home to Alaska while we were dating. I had originally planned to move there within a couple years to be with him but decided that there were still too many things I needed to do here, and my family is in NEw England. He agreed that I should be more selfish and take care of my own interests instead of giving it all up for a man; after all, that had been the major personality flaw that I personally was susceptible to in previous relationships.
As it turned out, we went our seperate ways with a lot of love and an unselfish desire to see the other succeed completely, and realizing that our relationship, while a beautiful thing, would hinder each of us individually.
So Yeag, big guy, you have all my warmest wishes in everything you do.
It's the sweetest love I've ever been in.

I honestly believe I was in love with each of my boyfriends, all in a different way. I'm not confusing "loving" with "being in love", trust me. When I was younger, it was more of an obsessive kind of love, making sure I was always pleasing my partner in every way, trying to be the best girlfriend I could be (and usually succeeding). I loved every single thing about them, every flaw, even their fuck-ups. The most "in love" I've ever been was was either with my last boyfriend (not current) or the one before that. They both ended pretty badly, which sucks. Now, as I've gotten older and more experienced I don't fall in love as easily, actually..it's quite difficult for me to fall in love at this stage in my life. In my current relationship, I love him but I'm not IN love with him, which I prefer. I'm kind of a love freak, to be honest..or was. I fell so hard and so fast.

I'd say I was truly "in love" for certain once, a girl that absolutely refused to let the phrase even be muttered. The longer we spent togeather, the closer we became. She even started telling me she loved me, which she told me at the outset she would never do. Then she blew an older friend of mine and needless to say that all came crashing down.
After, emotions hold less influence on me. And I never use love as a throwaway phrase

Yep for the past 6 years been in an extremely one of those on-off type relationships but we both love each other and we always will not with her at the moment but just like the past it probably wont be long till we are back together again.
