Mail Order Seeds?

This year was me and my buddies first year growin, we just used bag seeds from some beasters, and everything is going pretty well so far. We were thinking of getting high quality seeds next year from like nirvana or something. Whats the deal with those sites? Are they reliable, can they be traced, etc?

First off, IF I were ordering, I would check on boards like this for complaints of poor germination, bad service and rip-offs. Secondly, I would time my order to coincide with a major holiday- Mother's day, Xmas- any peak mail time. More mail means better camouflage for your seeds. Customs only has so many workers! If possible, use a "safe addy"- a non using friend's place as the place where the seeds will be sent. - Granny:hippy:

I don't know about nirvana, but Amsterdam seeds. com came fast and discreet and we were very happy with them...you can google the website.. good luck!!! Also, you can use a prepaid Visa from Safeway or another store if you're concered with tracibility...

I think im gonna use nirvana mainly cause its really cheap, and gives good info on all the strains. And thanks for the ordering advice, I have a safe addy and I'll order during a holiday. Besides the site to order from, we can't decide mutually on 2 or 3 strains we'd like to order. So far we know we want Northern Lights, but that's it. My friend wanted PPP, but i objected saying that we should get a mostly sativa variety to counteract northern lights mostly indica. When i looked up PPP it said Indica-Sativa mix, but did not tell me the percentages or anything.
So we have
1. Northern Lights
2. Mainly Sativa variety (possibly PPP?)
3. If we do get a third it can be anything good

Basically what I'm asking is, what is the best plant to get that is mostly Sativa?

It depends on your grow knowledge and experience...at least check out the site I listed... they give alot of info on the different types of plants including how hard they are to grow.We ordered Nigerian (it's our first "ordered" seeds too).It's highly sativa.We're doing indoor hydro in a bubbler dwc system.I don't know how you're wanting to grow but sativa's get tall.I do know that.Our first grow was with bagseeds. We had 20 seeds to start ,all cracked, 17 sprouted. We picked the best 10 plants and put them in our sys., we're down to 5 as 5 turned out male. But they look awesome.Marmarkus2006 has pics in the hydro threads.It looks to be a good blend of indica/sativa but we have no clue as to the strain since it came from a friend. funny though the weed it came out of wasn't that great,just budget,but they are turning out really awesome in this system.A friend of mine smoked some of the clippings and said it's better than the budget buds she's been getting. :thumbsup: Next we'd like to get some NYCD, Ice ,Bluemoon, white widow, carmeliscious, Northern Lights,....the list goes on and on....lol. I prefer the sativa high vs the indica. We went with one of the cheaper to start. Nigerian was 35 dollars plus shipping for 10 seeds and 10 free seeds.So a total of 20 seeds.Not bad.... they should have it listed (any seed sites) under the seeds how hard to grow it is...from beginner to experienced.I think Nigerian was listed as moderate. So just do your research and grow from there... have fun!! :rasta:

However the seeds bought online, we started 10 to crack only 6 did then 5 sprouted and 4 grew.We are still early on those in veg,but think there might be 2 males 2 females.... will be doing cloning soon to sex them.(keeping our fingers crossed) So,I don't know how great the ratio is for seeds bought online ,but that's probably why they are giving 10 free seeds along with your order...who knows? lol Also,I was told that most weed is chronic just depends how you grow it as to how good it is...? but that's just what I was told...don't know how much of a fact it is.Although the bagseeds seem to be proving it!!

I checked that site u listed today and I'm a little confused. I couldnt find Nigerian anywhere, and most of the strains were unfamiliar to me. It is The Global Seedbank the real amsterdam seedshop right?
