Thank you for the feedback. This is my first thread (posted same thread in basic growing section as well) and I'm amazed at how quickly responses have come! I will probably go w/ bleach water, then for cleaning the walls, floors, and ceiling. I figured the XJ-2100 might be a good idea anyhow for smell and eliminating dust which I've read on one thread can collect on the buds. I've had one hell of a time finding information on specific negative ion generators, btw. It belongs in another thread, but I must say -- I built a carbon scrubber that is on the blowing end of a squirrelcage fan, and while this will probably eliminate half the odor of the intended two flowering plants, I will need to add another element to my odor elimination scheme.

I should have elaborated, though. So this room has been vacuumed... no more cobwebs!.. Now as for the walls -- they are covered entirely w/ styrafoam, and I can peak in at the wall in a few worn away spots to see old dirty looking walls beneath. I'm worried that I can't successfully get the walls behind the styrafoam and couldn't possibly hope to eliminate all the mold spores.
sinky Reviewed by sinky on . GROW ROOM SANITATION I have this dank (excuse the negative use), dusty, dirty looking room in my unfinished basement that is my only choice for a grow room. What do I use to sanitize this room. I was considering buying an XJ-2100 UV from Surround Air. It is a negative ion generator w/ a UV germicidal lamp. Figured this device might protect against the billions of crazy mold spores that are surely coating the walls and choking the air in this room. Rating: 5
